Who we are

A generation refusing to watch its home dry up.

Green Advocates is a youth-led community-based organisation working across Baringo South. We restore ecosystems, educate young people, empower women and girls, and create platforms for climate action.

From school mentorship and tree growing to menstrual health support and community dialogues we turn concern into organised, measurable action.

The anchor environmental programme. We expand tree-growing and conservation into a full restoration cycle: assess, plan, restore, maintain, monitor, learn and report focusing on indigenous species, school and community sites, water, soil, waste and biodiversity.

Hekima Marigat School Mentorship

Marigat, Baringo County

Returning to Hekima Marigat School was a full-circle moment for Green Advocates founder Gayo Dancun, who previously served as the school’s first head boy. Alongside fellow pioneers and the Green Advocates team, he returned to inspire learners through mentorship and conversations around resilience, education, environmental stewardship and community leadership.

Green Advocates carried out an environmental outreach at Kiserian Primary School in partnership with the Kenya Forest Service. Pupils participated in environmental education focused on tree planting, conservation and climate action. The activity also included mentorship and support initiatives encouraging learners to recognize their role in shaping a sustainable future.
