Green Advocates is a youth-led, community-based organisation registered in July 2023 and operating across Baringo County, Kenya. We exist to advance environmental sustainability, empower indigenous communities, and equip young people with the tools they need to lead, innovate, and thrive in a changing climate.
Rooted in Baringo, driven by youth.
Baringo County faces real environmental pressures from deforestation and land degradation to recurring drought and flooding. Yet it is also home to a generation of young people and indigenous communities determined to protect their future through education, innovation, and collective action.
Green Advocates channels that energy into grassroots impact. We plant trees, restore landscapes, mentor students, run life-skills and leadership programmes, and campaign for environmental justice always working hand-in-hand with schools, local leaders, and the communities we serve.
What began as a small group of committed volunteers in July 2023 has grown into a movement grounded in inclusivity, collaboration, and indigenous wisdom proving that lasting change grows from the ground up.
